Ya Pullin’ My Leg is such a delightful Australian children’s book! It’s become a favourite in our house because all three of my kids enjoy it, each for different reasons. My one-year-old, Lilah, loves looking at the bright, animated characters and happily points them out on every page. My five-year-old, Hewitt, can’t get enough of the funny repetition and rhyming text—it has us both laughing every time we read it. And my eight-year-old, Parker, really appreciates the banter, Australian colloquialisms, and humour woven throughout the story. It’s a fun, engaging Australian bush story that’s just as enjoyable for the adults reading it aloud as it is for the kids listening. If you’re looking for a unique gift for children, especially one that celebrates Australian language and life, I highly recommend Ya Pullin’ My Leg! I knew this would be a great yarn, I’ve known Jess a long time and let me tell you, nobody tells them better than she does!
